EUDIPLO Study Trip to Brussels 2025:
Engaging with European Institutions
From 24 to 28 March 2025, our Joint Master in EU Trade and Climate Diplomacy (EUDIPLO) students took part in a study trip to Brussels, gaining firsthand experience with European institutions and policymakers. The visit provided an immersive experience into the heart of European decision-making and offered unique insights into diplomacy, trade and climate policy.
The programme began with a visit to the European Council, where Radovan Schida spoke about climate policy negotiations, before a visit to the European Commission's DG Trade, where Sebastian Kurpas discussed the EU's trade priorities.
At the European External Action Service (EEAS), Special Envoy Anthony Agotha elaborated on the role of climate diplomacy in EU foreign policy. The students also engaged in interactive sessions at the European Parliament with Vittoria Venezia, an adviser to the EPP Group Presidency, and explored the historical evolution of European integration at the Parlamentarium and the House of European History.
Academic lectures at the Fondation Universitaire covered EU environmental law and global cooperation strategies, while a networking event provided opportunities to connect with CIFE Alumni and Brussels-based professionals.
Thank to all those involved in the organisation of this trip, including our partners at the Luiss School of Government.
