Summer University Programmes 2023
This summer, we organised a rich programme of Summer Universities across 4 European countries in Athens, Tbilisi, Bucharest and Prague.
The first Summer University in Athens was held in partnership with the Institute of International Relations, Athens, and brought together 21 participants who delved deeper into the subject of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation. As well as classes, visits to the coastal city of Nafplio and the Corinth Canal were organised.
Ten days later, the Black Sea Summer University took place in Tbilisi, Georgia in collaboration with the Georgian Institute of Politics. The students analysed the Shifting Politics of the Black Sea Region and enjoyed trips to the former capital Mtskheta and the Jvari and Shio-Mgvime monasteries.
At the end of July, the Summer University in Romania was organised together with Nicolae Titulescu University of Bucharest. Classes on the Challenges and Opportunities of Europe in a Crisis were taught in French and the participants got to enjoy some of Romania's architectural highlights with visits to the impressive Palace of the Parliament and Bran Castle, home to Dracula.
Earlier this month, the final Summer University in Prague in cooperation with the Cevro Institute enabled our participants to learn more about the Rise and Power of Central and Eastern European Countries. Guided visits of the Czech capital and the Prague Castle rounded off the week.
