The students of the Master in Global Energy Transition and Governance started classes for the new academic year on Thursday 5 October.
After an official welcome from the Director General of CIFE, Matthias Waechter, and Programme Director Rachel Guyet, in the presence of CIFE staff based in Nice, the students began the year with courses on International Energy Governance and Conflicts and the Geopolitical Consequences of the War in Ukraine. An online session with CIFE Alumnus 2022/23 Fernando Tartaglia on the Interaction between the Environment and Technologies rounded off the first full week of classes.
The Energy Master aims to give a deep understanding of the complexity of the current energy transformations in Europe and worldwide. With its unique, multidisciplinary approach, the programme analyses the links between the different levels of energy governance, from an international to a local level, offering problem-focused learning at the crossroads of theory and practice.
