Labinot Greicevci RIDEA Kosovo Western Balkans Politics

Labinot Greiçevci is a Senior Research Fellow at CIFE and the Executive Director of the Research Institute of Development and European Affairs (RIDEA). With over 12 years of teaching experience at higher education institutions in Kosovo, Belgium and broader Europe, he specializes in international affairs and state-building, the European Union’s external affairs and enlargement policy, and the EU-Western Balkans relations. He received an MA in Political Science (European Politics and Public Policy) from the University of Manchester (2006) and a PhD in Political Science from Ghent University (2011). He has held research positions at renowned institutions, such as an Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Politics at the University of Manchester, a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford, etc. His extensive research has been published in prominent journals, including European Foreign Affairs Review and Perspectives on European Politics and Society. Among other journals, he also served as a reviewer for the Journal of European Integration, published by Taylor and Francis, and Foreign Policy Analysis, published by Oxford University Press. He is a member of the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES). He speaks regularly at European and international academic events and conferences on a range of EU’s global role and state-building topics and plays an active role in organizing such events. His recent book, The EU as a State-builder in International Affairs: The Case of Kosovo, published by Routledge, has been launched and presented at various European institutions and universities, including the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, Sciences Po – Centre de recherches internationales (CERI), and SEESOX at Oxford University.
