Students who successfully complete the programme receive at the end of the academic year two certifications.

  • The Master diploma, certifying the successful completion of the academic curriculum and granting 60 or 90 ECTS credits at Master level (depending on the chosen programme).
  • The degree qualification "Chargé de mission en organisations européennes et internationales" (Policy Officer in European and International Organisations).
This qualification is recognised by the French state. It is accredited by France Compétences and registered in the ‘Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles’ (RNCP), which lists all diplomas and professional qualifications recognised by France. The title is recognised as equivalent to a Master 2 level, Bac+5 qualification, corresponding to level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

Why did CIFE opt for a title (level 7) registered in the ‘Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles’ (RNCP) ?

1. A degree registered in the RNCP is fully recognised by the French government. The RNCP is the reference framework for all diplomas and professional qualifications recognised by the French government.
2. The RNCP is the French reference for the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and provides transparent information about the level of certification in accordance with French and European standards.
3. Recognition in the framework of the RNCP is not only based on the quality of the academic programme but on the knowledge, skills and competences which are transmitted and evaluated. France Compétences assesses the necessity of a qualification with regard to the job market, the relevance of the skills and competences for the profession, and the capacity of the degree-delivering institution to update its programme according to the development of the profession.
4. The certification demonstrates not only that our teaching programme is adapted to the job market and that the graduates are employable, but also that they are in employment: France Compétences verifies that at least three quarters of the graduates are actually working in the field related to the certification. Only qualifications which guarantee a high degree of professional integration of their graduates can receive recognition by france Compétences.
5. The profile of the ‘Policy Officer in European and International Organisations’ covers practically the whole range of jobs exercised by graduates of CIFE's Master programmes: senior officials in European institutions, policy officers within the framework of the UN, administrators, diplomats, consultants, think tank researchers, lobbyists and academic experts.
